Enchong Dee says it’s not yet time for him and Erich Gonzales to have a serious commitment

The love team of Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales is said to be the newest successful showbiz pairing, which is why Star Cinema has entrusted them with a launching movie, the romantic comedy I Do set to premiere this September 29. Like all other love teams, Enchong and Erich also feel the pressure from the public for them to jump into a real-life relationship. However, as Enchong explained, he believes that for now it is best that he and Erich should just continue the fun friendship they have at the moment.

“Sabi talaga namin kahit mag-develop kami hindi namin itutuloy. Nag-usap kami, sabi ko, ‘Erich siguro kung nung Katorse (their first teleserye together) naging tayo agad, baka ngayon wala na itong love team natin.’ Nakikita ko kasi pareho pa kaming bata, immature pa kami mag-isip. Kailangan pa namin ng enough time at maturity bago kami magkaroon ng successful relationship,” said the young actor.

Enchong further clarified that the fans of his love team with Erich are not the type who meddle with their personal lives. He is just happy that whenever the two of them are paired with other stars, their fans are still there to support them. “Happy ako na ‘yung mga fans namin hindi kami itinatali na dapat kami lang ni Erich. Sinuportahan nila ‘yung movie niyang Noy, kahit iba ‘yung kapartner ni Erich dun. Sinusuportahan din nila ‘yung istorya namin ni Bea (Alonzo) sa Magkaribal. Alam nila na trabaho lang. Dun sila sumusuporta. Whatever happens off cam, sa amin na lang ni Erich ‘yun.”

The young actor also reacted on the recent issues saying Erich was being courted by her co-star in the movie Noy, Coco Martin. According to Enchong, that while the rumor about Coco isn’t true, he and Erich don’t have a commitment. “Kung may manliligaw man kay Erich, walang problema sa akin. At ako rin, kung may liligawan akong iba hahayaan ako ni Erich. May karapatan ka lang magselos kung may relasyon kayo or you promised something. Pero kung magkaibigan lang kayo, wala dapat selos. Ako sinasabi ko sa kanya, ‘Wala kang karapatang magselos!’ Ha ha ha! Kung baga, you have the freedom. Lalo na sa sexy ni Erich, hindi maiiwasan [na may manligaw sa kanya].”

But when probed about the alleged non-showbiz girl he is courting, Enchong tried not to reveal much. “Sa akin na lang ‘yun, he he he! Siguro hindi pa yata ito ‘yung tamang panahon.”
